Anya Hindmarch’s SS2016 collection was based on the principle of ‘apophenia’; a state where the human mind universally seeks patterns in random information. Taking their concept design, we engineered and installed a two-way infinity mirror chamber within a outer concertina structure to celebrate the launch of the Apophenia collection at Peter Jones in London.
The internal chamber sits within its own controlled lighting environment. While the visitor is inside, the LED lighting behind the mirrors gradually brighten, then dim, on a continuous programmed cycle, revealing the garments and accessories through infinity mirrors. The surrounding structure contains hidden product spaces, where pieces from the collection appear when the lighting conditions invert.
